Osprey Outlook
We wanted to find the perfect retreat on PEI; surrounded by farm fields and water on a quiet
country road, but near the sand dune beaches of the centrally located National Park. We found
nine acres on Rustico Bay, and we welcome you to share our views of sunsets and bird life.
Hike, bike, windsurf, kayak, swim, and canoe (we rent all- canoes are free!) from your door,
or take short excursions into the hilly countryside. Maurice Roy, head naturalist of Prince
Edward Island National Park says, "the property is one of the best places in PEI to see
Ospreys." These large birds, also known as "fish hawks", can spot fish from hundreds of
feet in the air and dive straight down to catch them.
Accommodation at Osprey Outlook on Rustico Bay consists of 3 comfortably furnished rooms,
each with queen-sized beds, private Jacuzzi baths in Terrace & Osprey, and spacious private
decks. The Terrace, which has a private entrance, includes a pull out sofa so can very
easily accommodate four. The Garden Suite is a fully appointed apartment, which sleeps
seven, including a bedroom with queen-sized bed, pull out sofa, and a loft.
All guests are encouraged and welcome to join one of our half day guided walking, biking or
kayaking tours. We are the owners of Outside Expeditions. (www.getoutside.com). You'll
share your accommodations with Bryon & Shirley - and our girl Robin, born '94 and boy Jacob,
born '97.
Mattresses are available for over-flow bookings or family groups.
Activities in and around Osprey Outlook include: a visit to the nearby attractions of the
Rustico Farmer's Bank National Historic Site, nature walks along the coastline, in the
pioneer cemetery or on the heritage roads nearby; golf or tennis at Rustico Resort;
Outside Expeditions' Lobster Bakes; walks in Rustico and Prince Edward Island National
Park; and of course guided sea kayaking, walking, or biking offered by Outside Expeditions.
Here is a beautiful picture taken from the air close to Osprey Outlook. It shows the lush fields
and beautiful scenery of the area. The water inlet is called Chapel Creek, an excellent place to take a
relaxing canoe tour. By the way, Osprey Outlook is near the center of the picture, just to the right!
We are located 25 minutes north of Charlottetown on Route 242 in Cymbria.
