Experience Level: From beginner to advanced.

Weather: Cloudy ­ light rain, Very Strong South-West Wind 25 km/hour … then died to nothing - with a beautiful sky.

Animals: Gulls, Herons, Jelly-fish

Personal Thoughts / Reminders / Memories: First session of Session #2 which will run until October 3rd. Due to a windy day … we departed from Morrisons Bridge at Trout River. We paddled up river … and did some rolling, and practiced some self-rescues. Not a real nice night from home in the yard, or hosting the kayak onto the car … but once on the water ­ spectaculor as usual.

• The 2002 PEI Senior Games (55+) are in June in Victoria Park, and the Canada National Senior Games are in Summer Side in August. Presently, kayaking is not included in the games … but the administrators of the games are keenly interested in including sea kayaking. We want to assist! We are encouraging 55+ folk to get involved. Stay tuned for more details. In the meantime, if you know anyone 55+ who may be interested in participating in kayaking ­ please have them leave contact info with us.
